These trays have been hand carved out of a single block of clay, the method is called kurinuki technique. I had so much fun experimenting and playing with the shapes. They are painted on the inside with a white slip and decorated with black underglaze. They have a glossy glaze on the inside and raw and smoothed on the outside. Great for spices, dips, olives etc.
